I love helping couples who feel stuck in conflict change the way they interact so they can remember why they chose each other in the first place.

Whether one partner craves deep emotional work and the other prefers a more tangible approach, I am completely focused on creating a space where both partners feel seen and heard for who they really are and what they really need. I work collaboratively with partners so that they can transform negative dynamics into a relational bond that enables them to show up for each other in an authentic, sustainable way.

My approach

I work with couples using Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (EFTC), an evidence-based approach that addresses the root of relationship distress. By slowing down negative conflict cycles and helping partners create genuine emotional safety, EFT helps partners move past defensiveness to build a secure, lasting connection.

I help couples find their way back to each other—even when feeling alone, disconnected, and hopeless. I know that starting relationship therapy can feel daunting and even a little scary, and I am deeply committed to creating a space that feels safe, balanced, and hopeful for both partners.

The practical details

• Session fee: $425 per 90 minute session.

• Location: In person in my office (1660 L Street NW) or via Zoom for clients in DC, VA, MA, and TX.

• Insurance: I am an out-of-network provider, but I can assist you with submitting claims for reimbursement if your plan offers out-of-network benefits.

A Note on Insurance Reimbursement for Relationship Therapy:

Most insurance plans do not offer reimbursement for couple or relationship therapy. However, some plans may provide reimbursement under CPT Code 90847 if:

1. One partner has a covered mental health diagnosis, and

2. The primary goal of therapy is the treatment of that partner's diagnosis.
